Emotional Health and Fitness: How Crying Helps Heal

by Lizzie Elzingre

Nearly everyone feels better after having what we call a good cry. These feelings of relief are not made-up. Not only can a good cry spell relieve you emotionally, it brings sense of stillness and renewal to your senses. Tears because of exposure to environmental irritants such as fumes, smog, raw onions, and pollens are lubricants to our eyes. These kinds of tears happen instinctively to protect the eye from potentially harmful vapors.

Research Psychologists wrote that tears are not only stress-buster. They also soothe the mind, and heal the body. While almost all of us shed emotional tears between 7 to 47 times annually, we are not familiar with what goes on when we shed tears, how crying helps you to heal.

How Crying Works to Calm Mind and Body

Tears associated with emotion have high levels of protein, manganese, potassium, and hormones, including Prolactin. Prolactin is a hormone involve in stress, the immune system and other body functions. The tears are not simply water in content. It is part Manganese and part Potassium, which are both essential nutrients.

Because unrelieved stress can increase our risk for heart attack and damage certain areas of our brain, the human ability to cry has a survival value. Crying is a distress signal and a means to restore psychological and physiological balance.

Humans are the only animals to evolve this ability to shed tears in response to emotional stress, and it is likely that crying survived the pressures of natural selection because of usefulness. In other words, we cry-and need to cry-in order to rid our body of hormones that can be toxic to our emotional and physical well-being.

Excess stress hormones can take a toll on immunity, weight gain, and mood, making crying as one of the nervous system's ways of reducing our reactions to grief and ache, miseries and loss, even intense joy. Thus, it is important to cry to let go of feelings due to the good news, grief, joy, or recovery from a frightening event. You will be amazed to find how crying works to calm mind and body.

These little crystals of pain release the pressures and allows your mind to create a beautiful healing setting. I have discovered, through countless tears and heavy stones of shame carried awkwardly in my pockets, that it is important to release the pain and retain the memory. The memory of the pain helps us reach out in empathy, understanding, and love to those who struggle now where we once walked.

Therefore, the next time you feel like crying, let it flow because stress is terrible for the health of your brain, heart and other organs. Crying is natural, healthy, and curative. Crying is not a sign of weakness, in fact, it is the opposite. Smart adults know the benefits of a good cry. On the other hand, lengthen crying from depression often indicates a serious brain condition that might benefit from a doctor's visit. Having said that, do not wait until your sadness becomes a depressive disorder.

Cry until you can cry no more. Then, visually toss all your cares into the water and watch them disappear. Give thanks to the pain, the lessons learned and sense how crying helps you to heal.

Spirituality and Marriage: How to Use a Psychic to Avoid Marital Discord

by Lizzie Elzingre

"The Crystal Ball" by John William W...

Harmony in our lives is something we all yearn for in the core of the many demands and expectations of a marital life. To keep any relationship alive, difficult situations should be immediately resolve before it turns love to hate, or resentment.

Faith-belief in the judgment and authority of a higher power can have a powerful and positive influence on the marital bond. In fact, spiritual faith has the power over frustrations and anxieties because belief in God also means belief that marriage itself is sacred.

In the middle of marital discord, marriage may progress towards holiness and maturity with God with the most ancient and human practice-psychic healing. Through psychic healing, a couple transforms in their exterior life with man and in their interior life with God.

What lies at the core of local psychic healing is the ideal meaning of life and behavior of human being-nurturing and caring. Psychics wield social and spiritual powers that could analyze the problems of couple and communities. For many centuries now, these mystics have help solve marital discords. Their kind of healing rituals manifest the weaving of accepted wisdom of divine laws and of natural laws with those of human laws.

Psychics can look into your situation and provide deeper insights about the feelings and thoughts relating to your marital troubles. Through psychic readings, with the aid of tarot cards, the crystal ball, among others including dreams and spiritual help, they will answer queries, doubts, and issues like putting pieces of puzzle together for you.

Psychics can lead you out of your marital troubles. It is their deep awareness of other people's sufferings and emotions that helps them foretell one's future or highlight events in your past, present and future including certain patterns in lives. In principle, psychic consultation is to let you "know" something, and think what you wish to happen to it, and to hold that thought. As a result, it becomes easier for couples to move away from negative emotions bouncing around between them.

If you embark alone, without seeing the difficulties in your relationship, you will fail. Remember, the paths you choose determine your future. On our own, we choose what we think is the best and wisest, however, it turns out that another choice is the best path. How you wish you could see what the future holds.

As you ask your questions, the psychic will guide you to the readings for a more in-depth answer to your query. There are instances that the answers may even open your eyes to a new beginning, direct you to a completely different approach, or lead you to a particular situation.

What meaning could this have in response to a question about marital discord? Insights on things to come will cause your intuitive level to shoot up rapidly. Psychic advice becomes your hint to mind your steps carefully and gently.

At times, their answers about existing situations or the benefits of changing to a new one seem to make no sense, but they invariably prove to be correct later on. In other words, using psychic, to avoid marital discord, can condition the awareness and the attention of couples. Psychic can call to mind things both have done and shared then re-run these images over their minds.

Similarly, it can cast into the memories of couples the things they both admire, jokes they laugh at, including intimate moments. It is like re-collecting positive images to use to triumph over agony, pain, or negative situations. Similar to a doctor's advice, the psychic will not tell you to gorge with chocolates, but to eat more vegetables and ease up on dairy foods.

Psychics are inherently peacemakers and believe that we are all one breath and that the God is in all of us.

This interconnectedness leads them to uphold love, justice, and peace as vital to the life of the earth. Peacemaking is at the core of their expression.

The psychic assumes that couples want to advance morally, spiritually, and emotionally when they seek advice. Therefore, it is safe to believe that the guidance will be extremely beneficial to their marriage. Similarly, the psychic will advise couples on a particular course of action but will never tell you what you should or should not do, instead, to consider a particular course of action rather than another. This is at times can be uncomfortable, but it will get you where you need to be at the right time, saying and doing all the right things.

Because of the precise timing of events, incidents do not become simple luck, but rather a coherent field that places of both you and your partner on the right path in life. Already in perfect harmony and accord, both of you can proceed. Together you can accomplish much.

Psychics are the original spiritual expression of humanity. Almost all have healing powers for nurturing people. They can lead married couples to opportunities where they can work together in harmony rather than seeing the differences. When you allow psychics to help you heal your marital troubles, you will be able to feel healing power, recognize spiritual help, and all the other components necessary to change.

Psychics heightened concern regarding relationships enables them to connect past, present, and future of a person's life. They can cleverly highlight the root cause of problems and see the things that trouble couples.

Perhaps, because their heart is bigger, with vast reserve of understanding and compassion that is why He gave them magical gifts to help couple make that transition from marital discord, so that they may walk through life with lesser beatings.

What you should avoid if you want your marriage to last is withdrawal and avoidance in chances that can reduce marital discord, because it becomes too risky to do otherwise.

Exercise Tips: How to Walk your Way to Stress Relief

by Lizzie Elzingre

Marine of the United States Marine Corps runs ...Image via Wikipedia

Walk your way to stress relief according to experts is great for general health and well-being. Daily physical exercises like walking are essential in helping the body deal and cope with pent-up energy and tension. Exercise can be an extremely effective reliever for frustrating situations build up and anger.

Common causes of stress are pressures, worries and anxieties of modern life related to work, community, or family. Being unable to cope with the day-to-day stress can easily lead to stress-related illnesses.

During a fight in which I could not seem to get across why I was so angry, my thoughts were darting around in frenzy. The drums they gyrated to were with faultfinding chants. I could not sleep. As the night progress, I became more resentful. I lay in bed exhausted, endlessly recounting my woes.

Stress causes our hear-beat and respiration rate to increase, blood vessels constrict, muscles tense, and our thoughts become negative and distorted. Under that condition, take what Mother Nature has prepared for humans-WALK.

Walking can take your mind off emotions and redirect them to a calm state especially if there is a change of scenery. Walking also allows you to think.

When under stress, do not remain idle. Get out of the stressful environment. A time away from the stressful situation is a chance to free the mind of irrational thoughts, and, eventually, reinforce affirmations.

Likewise, walking releases endorphins hormones, which make you calm and happy. The movement relieves tense muscle and even enables the body to clear stress related compounds. With correct walking posture and form, you unknot tense muscles and put them to work.

Walk in comfortable pace, fast but not exhausting. Mind your steps. Make the effort to feel your heel land lightly slowly shifting your weight to the ball of your foot before putting down your other foot. The more comfortable you are with your walk, the calmer you will become.

Walking is best in the morning or late in the afternoon, if possible, along a scenic route. Lovely things, like flowers, are cathartic, creative, and stress relieving.

Focus on your objective. Remember, you are walking to relieve stress, not practicing for a marathon, so take time-take long, deep breathes with every step.

Allow yourself to see the flame of your resentment or anger. Watch as your thoughts circle dangerously around it. Then very slowly begin to deprive it of oxygen by putting something over it to snuff it out. As the flame quietly ceases to burn, gently gather up the moths and release them in a beautiful meadow filled with sweet-smelling flowers.

When you find your thoughts obsessively drawn to stress, pains, and anxiety, go walk to redirect them to calm. Under stress, it is common to keep thinking over the situation repeatedly even after it is over. This leads to increased stress. Make walking a part of your daily life. It will help you live healthier, even happier. Comforting statements like "I can do all things through He who strengthens me" allow you to relax and enjoy a walk your way to stress relief.

Lastly, accept stress as a normal part of our life. Since we cannot eliminate stress, we must learn to accept the reality that stress is here to stay. This will eliminate the useless anger and the frustration of our failure to find and live a stress-free life.

Spiritual Insights: How to Find Spiritual Peace in a Tough Economy

by Lizzie Elzingre

If we are to re-define peace in today's economic conditions, it is inner tranquility in age of stress brought by the complexities of modern life. Bad economic times make everybody worried sick about jobs, and their financial status.

Since it is not possible to tolerate stress for a long time, for fear that you become insane, how you will overcome, then, what seems to be undefeatable? How would you stop feeling miserable, if reason and consciousness do not want to forget?

When a friend suddenly found herself without job after 15 years, the hardest times she had were when she allowed her mind to project into the future with self-talk statements like "What if I exhaust all my savings?"

While we normally find ourselves in this behavior, we have to be more aware of the need to pull our mind back to today, telling ourselves, "I can handle this, right now." There has to be a continuing awareness of the need to pull back starting in the personal level.

Jesus tells us that the birds of the air do not worry, and they are well take care of and fed. The flowers of the field do not fret, and they are beautifully clothed.

Jesus is not talking about escaping the stresses of life. He is not saying, we relax and not worry. However, Jesus is giving us much deeper reason why we should not worry. The Father in heaven is taking care of us.

We have to be mature about how we apply this principle. Mature Christians must know how to entrust situations or conditions to God and make a deliberate decision to do so. As we put God and his will first in our lives, everything else falls into place.

Together with our self-knowledge on coping with difficulties, we should keep prayers and meditation, which are fundamental and essential in our quest for spiritual peace.

In the Oasis of Silence

Quiet times replenish, renew, and recharge life with spiritual peace and spiritual balance. In silence, we can reconnect with our true source of energy and wisdom. Those months you spend on the sofa, meditating about unemployment is not a wasted time. You are thinking. Your pause actually keeps you on course.

Pausing in silence allows us to connect with inner guidance. Like a dance, the best moves come out when the music slows down. A slow, rhythmic, pace is the best type of movement because we will learn to recalibrate our paths when we pause. Likewise, only in solitude can we hear the whispers and urgings of our spiritual self.

Sometimes God gives us the strength and the wisdom to do Finding spiritual peace in a tough economy what we must do. At other times, the Lord shows us that what we think we have to do is not necessary at all. Occasionally, we follow our own will and not the will of God when we take responsibility for certain things.

When the Lord's kingdom is our first priority, when we listen to him before others, we realize that the things we thought were so important are not at all, then we let go. At times, the Lord even allows us to fail in what we do.

Thus, it is better for us to realize that we are not all-powerful. We are dependent on God. Many good lessons come out of failure if we give God His rightful place in our lives.

Spending our Moments in Materialization

The Bible tells us about Jesus Christ feeding 5,000 people with a few pieces of bread and fish. Christians regard the act a miracle. The Science of Parapsychology calls it "materialization," "producing something out of nothing."

There are different ways of doing materialization. One is through psychic ability, wherein a person must be able to visualize in very clear and vivid detail the object he wishes to materialize. Some people are able to materialize things with the help of spirit helpers or guides. Both ways require mental power. You must be able to see, feel, taste, smell and hear the object. You must also have the strong desire to make that object appear physically. Through our psychic ability, we can visualize life as an immense and magnificent tapestry.

In order for us to come to this kind of attitude, we should allow faith in God to surround us, and to protect us during difficult times. Faith is the spiritual peace that allows us to receive the supreme intervention of God.

If we look at the world through the eyes of faith, there is only one real thing. God wants to connect His grace with us. Thus, we need to be aware of where our thoughts are, which means we need to live consciously. When we discover our thoughts wandering back to the unchangeable past or forward into the unforeseen future, we can choose to bring our awareness back to Him.

As we bring ourselves to rest in the unseen arms, we see opportunities unfolding perfectly. Each day, we can learn to love ourselves just as we are, even if still struggling.

We all want to lead a life of abundance and prosperity, but money can be difficult to have during economic downturn. Certainly, you could handle whatever situations with Jesus Christ. To the recurring query, and one at time indicative of doubt, the Christian Faith replies with firm certainty, "All that God has created, He watches over and governs by His Providence." All that is created, by the very fact of having been created, belongs to God, and consequently, depends on Him.

Lastly, just as we wash our bodies and our clothes, we need to cleanse our emotional bodies. As we move through our days, many of us, through our psychic ability, vacuum other people's feelings. The more sensitive we are the more debris we collect.

A clean emotional body gives us the stamina and energy to begin another day. One excellent way to symbolize purifying our emotional selves is to imagine rinsing all limiting, defeating and depressing feelings as you stand under the shower. Then, visually, saturate the cleansed areas with love and energy.

Living Green: Irrigating Arid Environment

Ubari Oasis in LibyaImage via Wikipedia

Many of us who are concerned about the environment are landscaping our yards with plants and shrubs that are drought resistant and can thrive with very little care and maintenance, creating what we call xeriscape.

This is a responsible thing to do as far as our yards are concerned, but it is not so good for our personal lives.

How many of us live in an arid environment? Barely able to maintain our root system let alone bloom beautifully, on the amount of emotional sustenance we receive.

Living green irrigating arid environment is making choices and taking action to lead healthier and more sustainable life 24/7 365 days a year.

In order to emotionally support ourselves, we need to become gently honest with ourselves whether or not our lives and relationships are supporting us—giving us enough love and attention to thrive—or whether we are dying of thirst.

We also need to examine whether we are providing enough of the emotional essential for those we love.

If we have settled for a situation that is barren, we need to find ways to bring it back to life. If that is not possible, we must create other oases for ourselves—among people who appreciate us, our activities that fulfill us, hobbies that give us a sense of worth and pleasure, and even dreams that give us hope.

We can learn to water our own landscape and create a flourishing garden out of our life. Right at a time in your life when you feel lost, empty and, at times numb, shake it off.

Sit in the corner of the room. Close your eyes and visualize yourself in a verdant garden. Browse leisurely through the beauty of this special place. Sense that your truly belong here. It is yours. Then feel yourself uplifted by the sights and smells of this magical oasis. Now imagine what flower you might be if you were a resident of this garden. What do you need to keep you healthy and blooming? In what small way can you begin to bring this nourishment into your daily life?

If you are struggling to survive in a xeriscape, you can change that by paying better attention to your wants and needs. Make choices and take action to lead healthier and more sustainable lives, 365 days a year. Create springs in the garden where you can quench your thirst. Let it overflow. Generously spill it out for others.

Breathe clearly with each breath as you walk the road, each step following your breath. Returning from your silent walk, go to bed settling your mind from distractions.

"My stomach relaxes.", "It's easy to let go.", "I feel a sense of trust.", "I feel welcome.", "and I know I won't be judged." All suggest an environment of healing, living green.
